Veteran Care

Veterans – Walk-In Care Now Available at Sherwood Urgent Care!

Thanks to the Veterans Affairs Department’s Mission Act, Sherwood Urgent Care can now treat Veterans on a walk-in basis – no appointment ever required.

What We Treat (examples include):

  • Flu-like symptoms

  • Strep throat

  • Minor burns

  • Pink eye

  • Ear or skin infections

  • Digital x-rays

  • Lab testing

  • Prescriptions & medications

When you arrive, simply let our customer service representative know you’d like to use your VA Urgent Care benefits. Our team will quickly confirm eligibility before providing care.

Why This Matters

Before this change, the VA only covered private care if Veterans had to drive more than 40 miles or wait over 30 days for a VA appointment. Now, care is more accessible than ever.

About Our Clinic

  • Open 7 days a week, including evenings, weekends, and (most) holidays

  • Staffed with licensed providers for procedures such as splinting and suturing

  • Equipped with digital x-ray, lab services

⚠️ Please Note: Urgent care is not for major emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening situation, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
